Welcome back to Wisdom for the Worshiping Warrior.
You can’t wield a sword on depleted strength.
The war shows no sign of ending.
Resting in the Lord restores the heart for the next advance.
We pause to rest.
We replant our strength in Christ.
We return to battle in steady rhythm.
Resting is not retreat. It is strategy.
The Word
Rest in trust, replant in Christ, stride in steady rhythm.
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
and whose trust is the LORD.
He will be like a tree planted by the water,
that extends its roots by a stream,
and will not fear when heat comes;
its leaves remain green,
and it does not cease to yield fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NASB)
The Warfare
Endless grind is the enemy’s tactic.
The deceiver sneers, “Rest is for cowards. Grind or fall behind.”
He scoffs, “Roots slow you down. Stay shallow and sprint.”
He jeers, “Rhythm is a myth. Chaos keeps you sharp.”
Weariness dulls discernment.
Busyness uproots communion.
Noise drowns the Commander’s cadence.
Break rank, breathe deep, and return in step with heaven’s drum.
The Wisdom
Where does your soul need a tactical pause?
Trust turns rest into rearmament.
Let fresh roots grip the Living Stream until strength returns.
Rejoin the line at heaven’s tempo: Steady, sure, unstoppable.
Here’s your charge this week:
Rest in trust - Read aloud, “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD.”
