Cross the River

Courage in the Current - Issue 6

Welcome back to Wisdom for the Worshiping Warrior.

The promise lies across the water.
Fear swirls around your boots.
Only covenant truth steadies your stride.

We stand on God’s covenant, not on comfort.
We answer His command, not our impulses.
We advance with courage, not with complacency.

The bravest step is the first one against the current.

The Word

Covenant secured. Command given. Courage required.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous!
Do not tremble or be dismayed,
for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9 (NASB)

The Warfare

Comfort never conquers new territory.

The flesh seeks safe shores.
The world applauds caution.
The enemy spreads rumors of certain defeat.

Cowardice claims the current will sweep you away.
Hesitation hints your armor isn’t ready.
Distraction delays the crossing until tomorrow.

Plant your feet and cross today.

The Wisdom

Where is the Lord calling you to cross today?
Step off the bank and feel the river yield beneath your faith.

Stand firm on the promise: He is with you.
Let the current feel your strength as His presence steadies every stride.

Fix your gaze on the far bank.
Let the river’s roar sharpen, not shake, your resolve.

Here’s your charge this week:

  • Claim the covenant – Read Joshua 1:9 aloud each morning.
Let it anchor your direction for the day.

  • Obey the command – Act on one clear directive from Scripture, today.
    No delay, no negotiation.

  • Advance with courage – Take the step fear keeps postponing.
Cross the “river” God has placed before you.

Closing Charge

Stand firm on His covenant.
Move out under His command.
Advance with holy courage.

This mission is critical.
